Casuarinas International College is an international bilingual coed full continuum IB (International Baccalaureate) school offering a Spanish & English curriculum. Casuarinas International College provides individualized holistic education from Pre Kinder (three-year-olds) to grade 11 (there is no grade 12 in the Peruvian Educational System). It is a medium-sized school with an average of 18 students per class in Preschool, 20 in Primary School, and 22 in Secondary School. The teacher–student ratio is 8 to 1. Casuarinas International College is a school with a successful IB PYP (Primary Years Programme), IB MYP (Middle Years Programme), IB DP (Diploma Programme), and IB CP (Career-related Programme) implementation with full authorization by the International Baccalaureate since June 2006, July 2006, September 2008, and July 2014 respectively. We recognize the high impact that the implementation of the IB programs has on students: the development of critical thinking, the ability of c ...mmunication and argumentation in both languages of instruction (Spanish-English), and the ability to develop an International Education and Mindedness. Dual immersion (Spanish and English) is key in the Early Years and Primary School, in addition to a strong foundation for life-long learning within a happy, secure and stimulating environment. At the Secondary level, we offer French and Mandarin Chinese as a third language. Students certify their knowledge in English by sitting the Cambridge examinations, French and Mandarin Chinese can also be internationally certified. We strongly promote cultural exchange programs, providing our students witdiverse opportunities to learn about different cultures. The exchange programs allow our students to exchange with schools in different countries worldwide. We pursue that our students are able to develop skills such as research, entrepreneurship, reflection, and the desire for permanent improvement, as the foundation of academic excellence; everything focused on a positive impact on the local and global environment.
